Everyday Play with the Agersøs
With two active and imaginative boys, the Agersø family finds endless ways to explore and play with MODU. We invited stylist and designer Emma Agersø to capture a fun-filled play session at home and share how MODU has become a part of their daily life, from zipping around the kitchen to engaging in creative play at the family’s holiday home.
How do you use MODU in your everyday life?
The boys use MODU almost every day—they often build things together, just whatever wild ideas they come up with. Two wheels can be eyes on a monster, and connector pegs sticking out from the blocks suddenly become fire.
Besides that, they love doing laps around the kitchen on the Twin Ride. Ride-ons are just always a surefire hit—especially when the boys have playdates—there’s always at least one kid zooming around the living room.
Can you share some of the best play moments you've had so far?
We often bring the toy to our holiday home for weekends and short trips. We build a wheelbarrow like the one dad has, and Eskild follows close behind him, his little toes patterning along, collecting bits of garden waste. Or we build a coffee machine that sets the stage for Freddie’s own little café. I really like how the blocks offer so many different possibilities for all different kinds of play.
What do you think your kids would say they like the most about MODU?
Eskild, 5 y/o: “I like riding around on the ride-on and playing kitchen with Freddie.”
Freddie, 3 y/o, adds: “I like driving the race car!”
