Kids Room Ideas feat. Studio Mini
Step inside 3-year-old Malte’s vibrant and imaginative space! In collaboration with Studio Mini, we’re excited to share this inspiring feature that shows how MODU can be seamlessly integrated into a colourful and creative kids’ room.
A Room Designed for Creativity and Play
When 3-year-old Malte’s family moved into their new home a couple of years ago, his room was a blank canvas—white walls and endless possibilities. Inspired by her love of colours, especially in children’s spaces, Malte’s mother, Mette, set out to create a vibrant, playful, and cosy haven.
A Vibrant Vision Comes to Life
Starting with a spontaneous decision to add wallpaper, Mette transformed the space into a lively room full of personality. The wallpaper, a leftover roll with beautiful patterns, became the starting point for the room’s design, guiding colour choices and overall decor.
"Adding wallpaper was a spontaneous decision but ended up becoming our reference for everything else in the room." – Mette, Malte's mom
Functionality Meets Playfulness
Malte’s room now has the perfect balance of functionality and fun. There’s a hidden nook, clever storage solutions, and open floor space for active play. MODU elements are a central part of this playful atmosphere, offering endless opportunities for creativity and movement.
A Nook for Imagination and Calm
As Mette says, “Seeing the house for the first time, I instantly envisioned a cosy little nook in the built-in cupboard.” Complete with a soft rug, this inviting space is one of Malte’s favourite spots—a perfect place to let the mind wander into imaginative worlds or simply curl up with a book.
Endless Possibilities with MODU
Whether it’s a rocket, a race car, or a balance board to practice mobility and coordination, MODU fits perfectly into Malte’s colourful and creative room. Its open-ended design inspires imaginative play while also supporting motor skill development, making it a wonderful addition to any child’s space.
