Installation: MODU at VEJA Lisbon
Located in the vibrant heart of Lisbon, the new VEJA store is a carefully curated retail universe. Inside this repurposed 800 m² garage, raw industrial architecture meets sustainable design. Among the exclusive sneaker displays and the dedicated cobbler station, you will find a space designed specifically for the youngest visitors: a monumental, custom-built MODU play zone.
Building an immersive retail play space
Modern retail is about creating environments where families feel welcome to stay and explore. When VEJA designed their Lisbon flagship, they wanted a commercial kids' play area that reflected their own commitment to innovation and movement. The result is a striking, custom-built landscape of our tactile building blocks, providing an open invitation for active indoor play while parents shop and experience the store in peace.
Sustainable design meets active play
The installation features an expansive, interconnected structure built entirely from our signature modular foam blocks and connector pegs. Tinted in a warm, earthy orange that perfectly complements the minimalist aesthetic of the store, this sustainable play equipment doubles as functional retail architecture. It demonstrates how seamlessly our life-size building toys can be integrated into commercial spaces, transforming an empty floor into a dynamic hub for creativity and motor skill development.
